Yes, Christmas is about an amazing act of God, and the season includes nostalgic carols, acts of generosity and classic movies. Yet, the holidays also often bring up painful emotions or behaviors. This church wanted to address these challenges head on. However, it can be hard to pitch a series about loneliness, strained relationships, etc.
We decided to tap into the positive visual cues of the season (lights, tree branches, warm wood) to create a “safe place” to talk about difficult issues (the broken ornament).
